Bad Debt Collector

The Bad Debt Collector is responsible for collecting unpaid balances on delinquent medical accounts to ensure complete resolution of the account in as efficient manner as possible. The Collector will utilize excellent customer service and communication skills to proactively seek all avenues to collect outstanding debts, following established guidelines and procedures.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two years previous work experience as a bad debt collector in a medical office setting is required. Applicant must have full understanding and working knowledge of FDCPA and state laws regarding collection. Applicant must have knowledge of current medical billing software systems and online collection interfaces. Must have well-developed interpersonal skills.

Incumbents must possess ability to work on complex projects drawing on in-depth knowledge of analytical support and work processes to administer CUBS modules, maintain dictionary parameters and lead initiatives to enhance use of the system and improve design.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience is required. A minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 3 years developing large, technically complex systems. Two years with major responsibility for revising and controlling technical documentation of a complex system. Specific working experience in web-based analysis specifically related to CUBS programs. Two years experience of project management and administration.
